FBI Verifies New Jury Duty Scam

The FBI has verified that a new phone scam has surfaced and is spreading quickly. Scammers have been calling individuals claiming to be a Jury Duty Coordinator, telling the individual that a warrant is out for their arrest for missing a jury duty assignment.  They tell the individual that if they can verify their Social Security Numer and Date of Birth the warrant will be canceled.  Once the individual gives out this information, their identity has been stolen.

The FBI and the Federal Court System have sent out nationwide alerts of this scam.  For more information about this scam click here.
