Thomas Coyne Annual Scholarships:

Each year City of Boston Credit Union has a drawing for fifteen (15) $1,000 scholarships.  These scholarships in honor of former Credit Union Manager Thomas Coyne can be used for any tuition based education from elementary school through graduate school and trade school.  All members in good standing receive an official entry form via mail in the early Spring of each year.  The annual drawing takes place each year in the late Spring.

Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) Better Values-Better Banking Annual Scholarship:

This $1,500 scholarship is available to High School Seniors only and offered through the CCUA. 

Eligibility is limited to high school seniors who will be enrolled in an undergraduate college/university degree program during the 2021-2022 academic year.

Students must submit the following items with their completed applications. All items requested must be received for the application to qualify for consideration.

  1. Completed printed Application (Download the application here)
  2. An academic transcript of grades.
  3. A typewritten essay of at least 250 words describing what career you wish to pursue when you complete your education and why.
  4. A detailed list of extracurricular/community and/or volunteer activities.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Applications are due back to City of Boston Credit Union no later than Friday, April 16, 2021. Applications and supporting documentation may be dropped off at any branch location or mailed to City of Boston Credit Union, Vice President of Marketing, One Union Street, 3rd floor, Boston, MA 02108.
