The City of Boston Credit Union, like you, continues to monitor developments related to the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and updated guidance from our city, state and federal officials.

We take our role as an essential business seriously. While we remain open to serve you, we must take all measures we can to reduce the spread of this highly contagious virus. Our top priority will always be the safety and well-being of our team, our members, and all of our families.

While we recognize that some members do rely on branch lobby services, we are asking you limit your need to visit our branches at this time. We remain open, however we have reduced, where we can, the need for unnecessary exposure for our team and for our members.

Please know we are here for you 24/7 – with convenient remote access tools. You can bank remotely through our mobile app, 25 ATM machines, website access and even by telephone. Again, as we strive to keep you, our associates and families safe and financially secure, we ask that you please use our remote access points, including loan applications.

For our members who have been adversely impacted through job loss, unpaid furlough, or reduced salary due to the pandemic, we have instituted several initiatives to help:

  • A payment forbearance period of up to 90 days for all first mortgages and fixed rate equity loans
  • Waiving late charges on mortgage, home equity and consumer loan payments
  • Skip-A-Payment for three months (90 Days) on all Consumer Loan Products. The Skip-A-Payment Request Form (COVID-19) is available here
  • Emergency Loan of up to $2,500 for a 14-month term loan. The first 60 Days of the loan has a 0.00% Annual Percentage Rate, with no repayment required during that 60 days. For details and to apply safely and securely online please click here.
  • Upon request, increasing debit card daily spending limits. Please contact your local branch office.
  • Upon request, increasing the maximum allowed ATM withdrawal amount. Please contact your local branch office.
