Stimulus Payment Information

On December 29, 2020 the U.S. Government began processing the second round of Economic Impact Payments, more commonly referred to as EIP or stimulus checks.  The majority of taxpayers will receive this payment in the same manner they received their previous stimulus check, which may have been direct deposit, paper check or debit card.  City of Boston Credit Union advises that you monitor your account for a direct deposit, which could have been received in your account as early as January 4, 2021 with deposits continuing in early January.   Checking your CBCU account for your direct deposit is simple by logging into your CBCU Online Banking account or via the CBCU Mobile app. While logged into Online Banking you may also set up alerts to be notified when an electronic deposit is made to your account.  Please note you should also watch your mail in the event a paper check or debit card has been processed for you instead of direct deposit.

Taxpayers can check the status of their Economic Impact Payments by using the Internal Revenue Service’s Get My Payment online tool.
